VALLEY CLUB DRIVE
Road Improvement - Hailey, Idaho
In May of 2026, Burks Excavation had the opportunity to complete a comprehensive reconstruction and resurfacing of 2.3 miles of Valley Club Drive. The project began with pulverizing the existing damaged asphalt surface, allowing the reclaimed material to be incorporated into the roadway base. Our crews then imported and placed new aggregate base, graded the roadway to establish the new profile, and prepared the entire corridor for new asphalt pavement.
In addition to the roadway work, our team completed a variety of drainage and infrastructure improvements throughout the project, including new storm drain infrastructure, catch basins, drywells, culvert aprons, signage, crosswalk striping, and speed bumps.
Following paving, we utilized our new skid-steer-mounted Road Widener shouldering machine to efficiently place and shape new aggregate shoulders along the finished asphalt. Despite the extensive scope, the project reached substantial completion in just eight weeks, demonstrating our team's ability to efficiently coordinate multiple phases of construction while maintaining public access.
The completed project provides Valley Club Drive with a completely renewed driving surface, improved drainage infrastructure, and durable new roadway shoulders.
